Best of luck! I’m warning you now that you may lose sleep over this. It was a rather annoying thing to get working the first time. I had to try many different certificates before I found the right combination. The server logs are you friend! I first made sure I knew the phone’s IP address (http://ipaddress.com is the easiest way to get it) and then did a tail –f todaysdate.log | grep ipaddress

It’s your friend!

As Martin said before you have to make sure first and foremost that the server’s HTTPS protocol is running on 443 and not 9100. Otherwise it will not work.

For me, the magic combination was if the Certificates on the device showed 2 in the Intermediate list and then the Main Godaddy cert in the ROOT list. It should say mail.domain.com or whatever inside the cert.

To get your own certificates added to the device you need to go through a few steps in order for the phone to import them correctly. I ended up needing 3 different certificates installed in order for my phone to trust my webmail. The way to make sure your phone will work using AirSync is to try to go to the website (https://mail.domain.com:9100) through IE on the phone and if it gives you a certificate warning you know you haven't installed them correctly.

The trick is to always name the xml file _setup.xml   then make it into a cab file by using the makecab.exe program.

I took the certificate you can get from webmail and created a .cab, the 2 from the actual provider of the certificate we have (for us it was GoDaddy). First was the root certificate you can get from their website and the second was the intermediate certificate.

Kinda simple really....

Make sure your server can talk to the internet via the webmail

interface on port 80 (or 443 for secure connections but needs a proper

signed ssl certificate for the server).

Then setup the device to connect to sn ms-exch server and put in the

user/password as needed.

Hi there. Ive been wanting to push email to wm6 devices but havent had

much luck. I think Airsynch is the way to go but cannot find any good

comprehensive docs on how to exactly do it. Can someone point me in the

right direction?
