This might not be that the Calendar "status" (actually Mailbox Class,
IPF.Appointment) has been changed but that the user has changed the
webmail view from the Default View to "View as Folder". How that takes
place is down to the skin in use, but there's usually an icon or link to
toggle from one view to the other.

Either click "Default View" icon in the Calendar part of the Webmail
interface, or change the mailbox class using the CLI.
