Thanks for the insight.

Checking the server, i have found the problem to the question of queues.

here is the scenario.. i have two machines.. one for smtp and the other for pop. The spam filter is on the smtp server which scans mails for spam and then using an account (say spam@mydomain.com) sends the spam to another account (spam1@mydomain.com). However upon checking the account (spam1@mydomain.com) i found that mails were not being delivered to this account. Any idea as to why?

In Monitor > Mail, you can see what messages are waiting in the queue, view and reject them to get rid of them. But really, the question is what is causing messages to stay in your queue. Removing messages manually from the queue is not the answer to solving the real problem.
