hi,

???

so how on earth does a managers pa book him an appointment for a meeting
in say montreal at 10am montreal time when she is based in london??

she will always end up booking things in london time and he will end up
reading them in montreal time???

Outlook allows you to see alternative time zone and select the time zone when scheduling an event. But the time stamp will be converted from the default (or explicitly selected) time zone ad stored in the event as UTC.

the manager looks at his client set to montreal time (ie iphone, ical)
and sees an appointment for 10am (uk) how does he know its supposed to
be in montreal time it will appear sometime during late afternoon...

this is crazy!

this doesn't work in any sensible way at all and it totally ignores the
fact that outlook 2010 can handle the timezone info but the mapi
connector is simply ignoring it.. this needs to be fixed..!

hi oliver/juergen/support,

tried the latest and greatest versions of the connector:
1.52.54.6/1.54.4.1

outlook 2010 on windows 7.

Non-recurrent events are scheduled using UTC time zone and will be
displayed depending on the time zone configuration of the calendaring
client.

and the results are the same, no timezone data is included in

here is an event booked for bahgdad and there is no sign that i can

the connector simply isn't reporting the timezone as set within the
event only that of the pc originating the event

and another event in kuwait timezone:

please try the latest mapi-connector

1.54.3.5/1.54.3.5

as far as the version 1.54.3.5 of the serverside component of CGP has
still some bugs I suggest to use 1.54.4.1. There the bugs are fixed.

Kind regards,
