hi lyle,

these are calendar items that where added in outlook 2010 on a machine running in gmt, but as the event was setup the timezone option within outlook 2010 event editor was used to set the event to a different timezone as indicated below.

so it looks like the mapi connector only sees the timezone in which the copy of outlook is running and not the timezone set by outlook 2010 when setting up the event.

if so this is a MAJOR problem as it means the connector igmores on of the most major improvements to outlook 2010 ie timezone management!!!!!

then checked the vcalendar file produced and i'm struggling to see any
indication of the timezone being mentioned within the file:

other than the time and and day being different which is obvious there seems to be no indication of the timezone selected for the appointment, is this correct?

is this important detail dropped by the mapi connector?

cheers

Double check your settings for this calendar item.  Would the Z indicate GMT?  One of the synonyms for GMT is Zulu sometimes abbreviated as Z.
