just to let you know that there are a couple of issues with AIRSYNC protocol and Android mobile device (HTC Desire, HTC mail client):

1) HTC mail client produces "airsync ping" packet every 10 minutes.  If NAT device between HTC and CGP is configured to drop the connection after 5 minutes of inactivity, CGP can't inform HTC about new mail arrival after 5+ minutes after "airsync ping" (this information packet tries to reach HTC, but gets retransmitted 3 times and then gets dropped). What is interesting, when next "airsync ping" packet successfully reaches CGP, CGP does not try to inform the HTC about this "stuck" new email message, so it can be delivered to HTC only after manual email checking. Is it by design that CGP tries to inform HTC about new email only once, and, if failed, gives up completely?

2) HTC mail client successfully retrieves HTML-formatted messages from MS Exchange 2010 SP1, but fails to do so from CGP 5.4c2;

3) HTC mail client fails to display the message's attachment size (always "0").
